Mr. Munish Kumar Chandna elected as Chairman of the Board of the Bank

The 548th meeting of the Board of Directors of Nepal SBI Bank Limited held on 12th August 2026 unanimously elected Mr. Munish Kumar Chandna, Director representing State Bank of India (SBI) to the post of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nepal SBI Bank Ltd.
Mr. Chandna is currently posted as Chief General Manager (International Banking-II) at SBI’s International Banking Group, Corporate Office, Mumbai, India. He currently provides strategic leadership for SBI’s international operations across East and South Asia, Singapore, Australia and key overseas subsidiaries. Mr. Chandna took the Oath of Office and Secrecy from the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Prof. Dr. Biswo Nath Poudel amidst Oath taking ceremony held today at Nepal Rastra Bank, Central Office, Baluwatar, Kathmandu.
Deputy Governor, Mr. Kiran Pandit, Executive Directors, Mr. Ramu Poudel and Mr. Dirgha Bahadur Rawal, Director, Mr. Sharan Kumar Adhikari from Nepal Rastra Bank and Deputy Managing Director, (IBG), SBI, Mr. Kishore Kumar Poludasu, Bank's Directors, Mr. Ritesh Sinha, Mr. Bharat Raj Wasti and Ms. Apsara Upreti, Managing Director & CEO, Mr. Ram Kumar Tiwari along with Dy. CEO & Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Vikas Anand, Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Rajesh Kumar Panda, Chief Business Development Officer, Mr. Prabin Muni Bajracharya and the Company Secretary, Mr. Khageshwar Bhatt from NSBL were also present in the ceremony.
