We issue normal VISA Debit Card (valid only in Nepal and India), NSBL Insta Card (valid only in Nepal and India) and USD VISA International Debit Card (Vishwa Yatra Card).
To subscribe for NSBL DEBIT CARDS, our account holders can visit any of our branches and submit the duly filled card application form, along with one passport size photo. The bank reserves the right to accept or reject any application. Card application forms are available at all our branches.
A normal domestic Visa Debit Card takes about 25 days to get delivered.
Whereas NSBL Insta Card facility can be availed instantly.
The card is valid for 5 years
Upon the expiry of your card, you can get a renewed card.
Card can be closed anytime as per the wish of the customer.
Technically there is no difference between the two cards. The only difference is that a normal domestic Visa Debit Card will have customer’s name printed on it while NSBL Insta Card does not have this personalized service.
Both NSBL Visa Debit Card and NSBL Insta Card can be used in Nepal & India at ATM Terminals, POS Machines or ECOM payment at websites verified by Visa.
For the first time, you have to pay just Rs. 1000*/- for normal Card which will be valid for 5 years. (* subject to change as per account scheme). Please check the updated schedule of charges for the latest charge structure.
Service charges and feesPlease inform nearest Nepal SBI branch to block the card immediately. However, you must send a written application also at the earliest. Please note that you are fully liable for the transactions processed up to the time NSBL is notified of the lost/stolen card. The Bank will issue the replacement of the lost/stolen card upon your written request with applicable charges. However, you cannot get replacement card for Bharat Yatra Card.

The customer should pay NPR 100.00 for lost card.
A new PIN will be generated and it takes around 25 days to get new PIN. But you have to submit written application to the branch where you have applied for card.

NPR 100 should be paid to re-generate the pin. But if you generate the PIN using internet banking, no charge is deducted.
You have to contact to the ATM linked branch on the same day with valid identity card. Bank has right to reject the request if the document got suspected or user could not provided the ID.

NSBL debit cards can now make online transactions in NPR and INR on websites verified by visa (VBV).
All the debit cards come enabled for online transaction. However, customers need to update their mobile number in CRM portal by visiting nearest branch. This is required to receive one time password (OTP) to authorize the ecommerce transaction.
There will be no charge for ecommerce transactions in Nepal based ecommerce sites.
For Indian ecommerce site, the charge is 0.5% of Transaction Amount or NPR 50, whichever is higher.
There is no such provision.
Yes, but only one of the account holder will get NSBL Visa Card.
We require your written complaint. On the basis of your complaint, we will process for it and your account will be credited after we receive chargeback/reimbursement from the concerned bank (ATM). For this we require following details along with your complaint letter:
1.Your card No.
2. Your account No.
3. Your Name
4. Transaction amount
5. Transaction date
6. Transaction no. (Retrieval Reference No.)
7. Bank Name
8. ATM ID
9. Transaction slips receipt from the ATM
However, if the transaction is done on NSBL ATMs using NSBL Cards, the dispute will be settled by the branch itself after reconciliation and cash verification
Yes, you may use any international card issued by VISA or MasterCard in Nepal SBI ATMs. The transaction limits and charges for International cards are as follows:
Access fee per withdrawal : NPR 500.00
Limit per transaction : NPR 20,000.00
Those are the codes that denote the nature of your transaction. The codes specify whether you were able to successfully complete your transaction or any other error occurred. For a complete list of resp codes and their meaning, read more.
- Yes, all our ATM and POS terminals accepts RUPAY Cards issued by Indian Banks.
- Our POS terminals accepts both domestic and international RUPAY cards whereas the ATM terminal accepts only international transaction enabled RUPAY cards for cash withdrawal.
- Keep your ATM card and PIN safe. Memorize your PIN and don't share it with anyone.
- For safety reasons change ATM Pin from time to time.
- Count cash received from ATM machine before leaving the ATM location.
- Cash once dispensed will not be taken back by ATM.
- In case of discrepancy immediately contact your Card issuing bank.
- Don't ask help from anyone other than bank's guard/ staff if you have any confusion regarding operation of the ATM.
- Do not leave ATM Booth before your transaction is completed.
- If you lose your card, report to the Bank immediately to block the same.
